FDA Facility Registration (U.S. Food & Drug Administration)

Crosby Hop Farm, LLC is registered under the FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), confirming compliance with federal food safety, facility standards, and preventive controls. This registration ensures that Crosby meets federal requirements for food safety oversight, traceability, and facility risk mitigation. 

 

GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) – Hops

GLOBALG.A.P. certification ensures adherence to internationally recognized agricultural best practices spanning worker welfare, sustainability, environmental responsibility, and transparent recordkeeping. This certification specifically covers hop farming under the SMART Principles & Criteria for Hops, Version 6.

 

ISO/IEC 17025:2017 – Laboratory Accreditation

Crosby’s laboratory is accredited for chemical testing under ISO/IEC 17025:2017, the global standard for competence in testing and calibration laboratories. Accreditation covers methods including alpha and beta acids, moisture, HSI, and total oil using validated ASBC methodologies. This confirms accuracy, repeatability, and scientific rigor in all lab testing. 

 

Kosher Certification – Oregon Kosher

Crosby’s hop pellets and whole-cone hops are certified Kosher Pareve, requiring no added kosher symbol. Certification includes review of ingredients, sanitation practices, and handling procedures to ensure compliance with Kosher dietary laws. 

 

SQF Food Safety & Quality Code Edition 9

Crosby is certified under SQF Edition 9 for both Food Safety and Quality. This certification verifies robust controls for hop pellet and hop hash production, covering hazard analysis, sanitation, quality management, authenticity, and compliance with GFSI-benchmarked standards. 

 

Salmon-Safe Farm Certification

Crosby Farms is certified Salmon-Safe for implementing farming practices that protect regional watersheds, reduce erosion and runoff, and enhance fish habitat. Independent evaluation confirms environmental stewardship aligned with watershed conservation. 

 

USDA Organic Certification – Oregon Tilth (OTCO)

Crosby Hop Farm is certified organic under USDA 7 CFR Part 205 for handling operations. Certification ensures compliance with organic integrity, traceability, prohibited input restrictions, and supply chain transparency.
